In honor of Canada's role as International Host of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games, The Canadian Club of Houston (CCoH) is hosting an event entitled "Bringing the Olympic Spirit to Houston" at the Houston Club (811 Rusk St.) on January 30 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Sponsored by Enbridge and Rolls-Royce, and benefiting Houston charitable partner Fanatical Change Foundation, the evening will include a cocktail hour, multi-media presentation featuring interviews with Olympians, and a seated multi-course dinner. The event's keynote address will be delivered by Barrie Shepley, former Olympic Coach and motivational speaker. The evening will feature American and Canadian national anthems, sung by Woodlands high school student Cori Reebenacker and Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield, respectively.
